South Dakota Selects Bold Planning and EMplans for COOP

The South Dakota Office of Emergency Management has selected Bold Planning Solutions and their Continuity of Operations Planning system, EMplans.com for their state-wide COOP planning project.  The goal of the multi-year project is to meet state mandates requiring all state agencies within South Dakota to create and maintain Continuity of Operation Plans (COOP) for their agencies as directed by the Governor.

Using the EMplans.com system as a base, Bold Planning Solutions created a customized South Dakota planning system designed to match their specific planning needs and requirements.  In October, this customized version was deployed online at www.SouthDakotaCOOP.com and was made available to all South Dakota state agencies.  Upon system activation, Bold Planning Solutions hosted on-site COOP planning seminars and instruction to dozens of agency COOP planners.  To date, over 60 state agencies in South Dakota have used the planning system to create their COOPs; including the Department of Revenue, Department of Public Safety, Department of Military & Veteran Affairs, and the Office of the Governor.
