Denver Gets Prepared with EMplans.com COOP Planning Project

The Denver Metro COOP Planning Committee selected Bold Planning Solutions to conduct their Continuity of Operations Planning Project. The multi-year project is designed to assist government agencies in the Denver region with creating Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP). To date, the project includes the involvement of over 800 government agencies from 10 counties and 64 municipal jurisdictions in and around the city of Denver.

Using the EMplans.com system, developed by Bold Planning Solutions, each of the agencies are assisted in developing their Agency COOP plan. The major benefits of using the web-based COOP planning system are:

All COOP plans developed within the region will have a similar and structured layout

COOP data for each Agency is live, online at all times, and accessible by emergency officials using their agency-specific secure passwords in times of COOP activation and relocation

COOP data can be easily updated at any time and kept current

Senior level planners can grade plans online in real time and provide constructive feedback to Agency planners for future plan development

Senior planners can “de-conflict plans” easily by running reports on data that has been put into the system, such as alternate facilities chosen
