Bold Planning Solutions attends EMAP Assessor Training

Representatives of Bold Planning Solutions recently attended EMAP Assessor training in Phoenix, Arizona. The two day training was designed to prepare individuals to serve as on-site peer assessors as part of the EMAP accreditation process. The training covered EMAP standards, on-site assessment procedures, assessor roles and responsibilities, and other issues necessary to serve as an assessor for EMAP.


The Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) is the voluntary assessment and accreditation process for state and local government programs responsible for coordinating prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for disasters, whether natural or human-caused. Accreditation is based on compliance with collaboratively developed national standards for emergency preparedness, the EMAP Standard. The EMAP Standard is based on the NFPA 1600 Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs, 2004. For information about EMAP, go to www.emaponline.org.
